Majestic Meadows Alpacas recently purchased this beautiful young male, Storybook's Peruvian Knight of Grace, from Joe and Reba Matern of Storybook Alpacas located in Mansfield, Ohio.  A Knight of Grace has beautiful grey fleece, excellent conformation and phenotype and we are just so proud and thrilled to have him here with us now on our farm.  I have had the pleasure of getting to know Joe and Reba Matern at the alpaca shows on occasion when I see them and what wonderful people they are!!!  They have always been so nice and so very proud of their own special herdsire by the name of Storybrook's Peruvian Manifestation, a stunning champion winning grey herdsire who caught my eye years ago even before I started to pay special attention to grey alpacas.

This past weekend, however, at the 2015 Ohio Alpacafest show, my eye was again drawn to a stunning young male they had at the show by the name of Knight of Grace.  As I was speaking with Reba she asked if I remembered "Manny" (aka Manifestation) and I said, Of course I do!  And she asked if I wanted to see one of his sons that she had brought to the show of which I said yes as I remembered how nice the herdsire was and I was specifically interested to see what quality he was producing.  Can you say WOW!!!!!!  Phenotypically beautiful...with a beautiful grey fleece full of bundles, character, staple length, excellent handle and the kind of density that I love to see in a young male.  Yes, a wow!!  She then sweetly tells me he is for sale and then this is where the story gets even more special...

100 percent...100 percent...of the proceeds of this sale (and actually any alpaca sale made on their farm before December 1, 2015) will be contributed DIRECTLY to the Nazarene Fund to help with Johnnie Moore's rescue effort of Christians from Syria.  100 percent of EVERY sale will be contributed to a cause that is very near and dear to both Joe and Reba and so many others who are working to save the lives of people and families in the Middle East.  Kinda made the WOW I felt when I looked at his fleece seem pretty insignificant.

So Joe and Reba Matern, thank you both for letting me be involved in purchasing such a special young male and for allowing me to be part of such a special cause.  This story is a WOW alright, but the real wow of this story is in the generosity and hearts of the two very thoughtful and kind people who own and run Storybook Alpacas.
