In an ongoing effort to ensure that we are following the rules for masks and social distancing on the farm, I personally reached out to the local county health department to confirm what our understanding was regarding public visitors and our employees.
We also reached out to the Ohio Department of Health. Both the Ohio Department of Health and the Medina County Health Department are clear on the Covid-19 protocol. Face coverings for all staff and children over 10, unless they have a health exemption. Masks are required inside the Boutique by employees and visitors wishing to shop inside the Boutique.
Masks are required outside, by visitors and employees, when six feet of social distancing between parties CANNOT be maintained. Masks are NOT required outside for visitors to the farm AND employees working outside on the farm when six feet social distancing CAN be maintained.
What this means…if you are in the store or in areas where you feel social distancing of at least six feet cannot be maintained, we ask you to please keep your mask on. When you are out on the property and you are ABLE to maintain six feet of social distancing from others, you are ALLOWED to take your mask off and enjoy the fresh air and time with your family WITHOUT your masks.
We do care about the people that visit our farm and we do care about the animals that live here and we believe our customers feel the same way. We understand these are very trying times and that outdoor activities may not be for everyone. We also understand that outdoor activities for many families is what is helping keep them feeling like there is light at the end of the tunnel. I hope this helps clarify things.
