Navajo Angora Goats

Angora Goats are one of the most famous goat breeds in the world. This breed is usually smaller than other domestic sheep and goats. The heavy and robust elastic fiber of the coat differs from wool primarily in its luster and smoothness. Both male and female sexes are horned and the ears are drooping and long.

Boer Goat

Cortez, our only Boer goat on the farm, was given to us by someone who was looking for a good home for her. Boer goat are indigenous to South Africa and are the largest goat breed in the world. Despite their large stature, (some can exceed 300 pounds), they enjoy a reputation as a calm, docile breed. Their calm disposition makes them popular as companion goats. Cortez lives with her Nigerian dwarf family of goats and is much bigger than the rest but is very gentle to everyone. Watch your food though, like all goats, she’s crazy for the grain and she will eat it all real quick if you’re not careful.

Nigerian Dwarf Goats

The Nigerian Dwarf Goat is a miniature dwarf goat of West African origin. Their small stature means they do not require as much space as larger dairy goat breeds and their gentle and friendly personalities make them good companion pets. They are easy to handle and even small children can be at ease with these little goats. They love to play and jump and get into all kinds of mischief. They love people and love attention and our current goat herd is expanding with the addition of our babies this spring! We LOVE OUR GOATS and you will too!
