Wrapping Up June!
Another amazing month flies by at Majestic Meadows Alpacas & Boutique! This month we witnessed
healthy babies being born, saw lots of fun being had by those participating in Goat Yoga, spent quality
time with some awesome Junior Farmers, welcomed Woody and Jessie from Toy Story to the farm, had
our first-ever wedding on the farm, and last but not least, we welcomed four brand new baby turkeys to
our farm to make this their forever home! What an awesome month!!!!! So much excitement and joy is
always happening around here!!
These summery months are always the best time to visit our farm as people love seeing all the new
babies running around and also participating in all of our fun events around the farm! So, if you haven’t
visited with us in the last couple months, it’s a MUST!!! Summer tends to be over in the blink of an eye
and we don’t want anyone missing out on some fun under the sun at the farm!
On our self-guided farm tour you get to go up close and personal with every animal we have here on the
farm including alpacas, llamas, sheep, goats, mini cows, mini horses, mini donkeys, mini pigs, rabbits,
baby turkeys, kangaroos, wallabies, a tortoise and lastly, Gus the camel! This truly is an experience to
remember! Our fur family loves the attention our visitors bring and for those wishing to get more hands
on, we do offer grain for sale in the stores that is specifically designed for the animals you are allowed to
feed while here on the farm. You can purchase that grain when you sign up online or inside one of our
gift stores on the farm when you arrive and check in.
We also have special events on the farm like Goat Yoga on Saturdays during the summer months and
our Junior Farmer program on Wednesdays! Goat Yoga is CRAZY and a BLAST! It is another one of those
MUST-TRY experiences for those who are just as crazy about goats as the goats are crazy about you. You
will leave laughing and smiling and full of awesome memories. You don’t even have to know yoga to
participate. It is for beginners and experts, and there’s an instructor there to guide you! It’s a great way
to start off your morning!
Our Junior Farmer program is for children between the ages of 8-14 (although we do occasionally get
even some younger farmers who are eager and wanting to join in on the fun). This is a more hands-on
experience for young kids who want to learn what it is like to be a farmer on our farm! Being a farmer
comes with a lot of responsibilities, especially when working with animals. We show them in person
exactly how we do it! We teach them all about our different animals, how we care for them, how we
feed them, clean up after them, and most importantly, how we love them! In our past groups, we have
done some pretty cool things…like giving Sheldon, our Sulcata Tortoise, a bath. We have walked alpacas,
horses, and donkeys around helping them learn to walk on a lead. We were even lucky enough to have
one group see an alpaca baby being born which is an incredible learning experience for all!
