Private Encounters
We offer a variety of private and small-group animal encounters, led by our expert staff:
Otter Encounter and Capybara Encounter are fully private 30-minute sessions for your group only. Sloth Encounter is a private, animal-led session with Grover and Ivy, approximately 20-30 minutes. Ambassador Animals Experience is a semi-private, guided journey through our Ambassador Building, approximately 60-75 minutes, where you'll meet six species: tortoises, porcupines, coatimundis, skunks, three-banded armadillos and screaming hairy armadillos. Pick Your Ambassador is a shorter private 20-minute encounter where your group chooses one ambassador experience, rather than meeting every species.
All encounters include:
- ✓Expert staff guiding your entire session
- ✓Up-close, staff-guided interaction with feeding or enrichment opportunities when appropriate
- ✓Photo opportunities
- ✓Small group sizes (minimum 2, maximum 10 per session)
- ✓All guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult
Please arrive at least 10 minutes early. If you're late, that time cuts into your experience - no extensions can be given. All animals are on schedules that cannot be interfered with for the safety and comfort of our animals.
