Majestic Meadows Alpacas Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates majesticmeadowsalpacas.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we use and protect it.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide to us

Liability Waiver. When you sign our online waiver, we collect your full name, email address, phone number, date of birth, the names of any additional guests in your party, and a timestamped electronic signature. We also automatically capture your IP address, browser type, and time zone for fraud prevention and to maintain a defensible legal record.

Newsletter Sign-Up. If you opt in to our newsletter on the waiver form, we collect your name, email address, and phone number.

Contact Form. If you submit our contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and message.

Bookings. When you book a visit or experience, your booking details (date, time, party size, payment) are collected and processed by Bookeo, our third-party booking platform. We do not store payment card information on our servers.

Information collected automatically

Cookies and similar technologies. We use a first-party cookie named waiver_accepted to remember whether you have already signed our waiver, valid for 30 days. See our Cookie Notice for the full list of cookies, including those set by third-party services we embed.

Anti-bot data. We use Google reCAPTCHA on our waiver form to protect against automated abuse. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information, including device and application data, and transmits it to Google for analysis. Use of reCAPTCHA is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Liability waiver records: To maintain a legal record of consent before you visit the farm, consistent with Ohio Revised Code §901.80.
• Bookings and visit logistics: To process your reservation and contact you about your visit.
• Email communications: To send you a copy of your signed waiver, booking confirmations, and — if you opted in — newsletters about events, new animals, and seasonal updates.
• Security and fraud prevention: To detect and prevent abuse of our forms.
• Legal compliance: To respond to lawful requests and protect our rights.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us operate the Site and our business:

• DigitalOcean — hosting and file storage
• Amazon Web Services (SES) — email delivery
• Bookeo — online booking platform
• Google reCAPTCHA — anti-bot protection on forms
• GirschWorks Digital — website operations and the underlying content management system

We may disclose information when required by law, to enforce our Terms of Service, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Majestic Meadows Alpacas, our visitors, or others.

4. How Long We Keep Your Information

• Waiver records: Retained as part of our permanent liability record.
• Newsletter list: Until you unsubscribe.
• Contact form submissions: Up to two years.
• Booking records: Per Bookeo's retention policy and our internal operational needs.
• Cookies: As described in our Cookie Notice.

5. Children's Privacy

Some of our programming (including Junior Farmers) is designed for children ages 6–12. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from any child under 13. When a child participates in an activity or visit, the registering parent or legal guardian provides all personal information and consents on the child's behalf. If you believe we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, please contact us at the address below and we will delete it.

6. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Request that we correct inaccurate information
• Request that we delete your information, subject to our legal obligations to retain waiver records
• Opt out of marketing emails — every newsletter includes a one-click unsubscribe link

7. California Residents

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). The rights listed above apply. We do not “sell” personal information as that term is defined under the CCPA, and we have not done so in the preceding 12 months.

8. Security

We use industry-standard practices to protect your information, including encryption of sensitive waiver data at rest and HTTPS encryption in transit. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to minimize risk.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects any revisions. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site for a reasonable period.
