Meet Ally, Tilly & Fern the Kunekune Pigs
Meet Ally with Tilly and Fern, our two Kunekune pigs. Tilly and Fern came to Majestic Meadows last year after being loved and cared for by their previous family since they were little babies. When their family made the difficult decision to find them a new home, they wanted to make sure the girls could stay together and continue receiving all the love and care they were used to. We were more than happy to welcome them into our farm family and give them a place to spend the rest of their lives together.
Ally works with the pigs, and she has come to know both of their personalities well.
“I love working with the pigs because of their strong personalities and the hilarious noises they make. They each have plenty of opinions and certainly aren’t afraid to express them! Their enthusiasm for food is something I can definitely relate to, but what I love most is their soft side. There is something about giving them belly rubs and scratching behind their ears and watching them completely melt that is just so rewarding.”

Fun Facts
Their name describes them.
Kunekune pigs originated in New Zealand, and the name “Kunekune” comes from the Māori language and refers to their round, plump appearance.
Grazers at heart.
Unlike most pig breeds, Kunekunes are happy grazing on grass, and their short, upturned snouts make them far less inclined to dig up the ground.

Come say hi to Tilly and Fern on your next Self-Guided Farm Tour visit. You might even get to hear some of those opinions for yourself.

Halloween on the Farm Is Here
All Eight Dates
Every date includes trick-or-treating, the Vortex Tunnel & Clown Building, and the Haunted Barn Maze. The special lighting, fog, sounds, and animated effects run after dark, on the five open-late dates only. Earlier in the day they are generally not running, which is much milder for younger guests.
Open Late
Friday, October 16 · Saturday, October 17
Friday, October 23 · Saturday, October 24
Friday, October 30
Admission 10 AM – 5 PM and 6 – 7 PM. Farm closes 8:30 PM.
Regular Hours
Sunday, October 18 · Sunday, October 25 · Saturday, October 31
Admission until 3:30 PM. Farm closes 5 PM.
Halloween itself, October 31, is a regular-hours date and we close at 5 PM. If you want the after-dark version, one of the five open-late nights is the only way to get it.

What Happens After the Pumpkins Come Down
We are not going anywhere on November 1. The Self-Guided Farm Tour keeps running Wednesday through Sunday right through November, then moves to Thursday through Sunday for December.
● Coming in December — Holiday Lights, with Santa, the Grinch, hot cocoa, and thousands of lights across the farm.
● Private encounters — seven days a week, year-round, with hours that may vary on holidays: the Otter Encounter, Capybara Encounter, Sloth Encounter, and Ambassador Animals Experience. Pick Your Ambassador, our new 20-minute encounter, runs at 3:00 PM, Monday through Thursday.
● Back in 2027 — Goat Yoga has wrapped for the year and runs on Saturdays, May through September. Junior Farmers returns Summer 2027.
● January and February — the farm tour takes a winter break. Private encounters carry on.

Alpaca Throws for the Cold Months
Alpaca throws, blankets, socks and scarves from the boutique are made from the same kind of fiber that carries our herd through an Ohio winter — and a throw is a considerably easier gift than guessing at a sweater size.
