Meet Isaac & Tuck the Camel
|
|
That's Isaac with Tuck, one of our two camels. Tuck is the younger of the pair and the goofy one — curious, full of personality, and reliably good for a laugh. Along with his buddy Gus, he's one of the many animals you can meet on a self-guided walking tour, and a bag of grain from either shop or the concession stand makes a visit with the two of them even more personal.

Isaac is one of the team members who looks after Tuck and Gus, and the two camels know him well — they're usually waiting at the gate when he comes by.

Free Bonus Event
Buggin’ Out
Buggin’ Out, presented by Lucas and Kel of K&L's Little Zoo Reptiles and Exotics! Come on out and meet some awesome snakes, bugs, frogs, and more.
It's a free bonus event, running 1–4 PM. A walking tour admission is required to attend — as long as you've purchased your walking tour, this one's on us.

Right in the Thick of Summer
We're into the heart of summer, with baby goats and alpaca crias still arriving and the whole farm in full swing. We're open seven days a week through August 31, so there's plenty of season left to come spend a morning with Tuck, Gus, and the rest of the crew.

Fun Fact
A camel's hump stores fat, not water.
That hump is reserve energy a camel draws on when food is scarce, which is part of what makes them so well built for long, lean stretches.

Bring a Bag of Grain
Tuck and Gus are never shy about a snack. Pick up a bag of grain in either of our shops or at the concession stand, and you can hand-feed your way around the property — camels, goats, alpacas, and plenty of others happy to meet you halfway.
